NY Residents Ages 65 And Older Can Now Get Vaccinated

Effective immediately, New Yorkers who are over the age of 65 will now be eligible to get a coronavirus vaccine.

The following groups in Phase 1B of the vaccination rollout plan can start making vaccination appointments for dates on or after January 11.

  • Teachers and other school staff, including in-person college instructors
  • First responders
  • Public safety workers
  • Public transit workers
  • Corrections officers
  • Childcare workers
  • Public-facing grocery store workers
  • Individuals living and working in homeless shelters
  • People ages 65 and older
