Starting January 22, 2025, providers can use the Message A Payer function to send secure messages directly to Healthfirst.

Providers can message Healthfirst through the Availity® Essentials Portal for questions and requests related to a member’s coverage, including:
Providers may also include attachments if needed when messaging Healthfirst.
Please note: This feature should not be used for claims related questions. Instead, please contact our Provider Call Center at 1-888-801-1660.
To initiate a message, providers must navigate to the Eligibility and Benefits Inquiry page. Once a member’s information is submitted, providers will have an option to start a message with Healthfirst.
Providers may review messages sent to Healthfirst through the Messaging Queue button located on the Availity home page.
