Second Annual Best Practices CME Part 1 - August 11, 2020

Second Annual Best Practices Conference on August 11, 2020 Hosted by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Healthfirst The goal of Healthfirst’s Best Practices CME activity is to increase attendees’ knowledge of emerging strategies for addressing health needs and for reducing racial health disparities among New Yorkers in the era of COVID-19. It addresses strategies to optimize meaningful and measurable health outcomes for individuals in populations impacted by COVID-19. Participants will consider the tools and resources that can address the opportunities, challenges, and impacts on managing the health of these New Yorkers. This includes policymaking; social, geographic, racial, and age-related factors; and structural components of the healthcare delivery system.

Healthfirst, in collaboration with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and New York State American Academy of Pediatrics - Chapter 3, hosted a virtual continuing medical education conference on October 17, 2020. This CME activity is designed to provide general pediatricians and family practitioners with the most up-to-date guidance on developmental and behavioral screening practices. The event addressed strategies that general pediatricians and family practitioners can use to implement this guidance in their offices and the challenges they and the families in their care might face.
